Injured Workers Fund

On June 24, 2002, IBEW Local #47 established it's Injured Workers Fund a 501 (c) (3) to benefit our Local 47 members who have been injured or suffer from severe illness. There are 3 ways to qualify for the benefit;

Commencing on August 1, 2017 there are 3 ways to qualify for the benefit as revised;
1. Be hospitalized for 3 or more consecutive days as a result of an injury or illness - onetime $1000 stipend.
2. Involved in a work related accident that resulted in you missing 5 or more work days and a workman comp claim has been approved for such injury - onetime $750 stipend. 
3.The beneficiary of a member will be paid in the event of their passing - $1000 stipend
To be considered paperwork must be submitted within 1 year of hospital stay or Work Comp Claim 


Claims occurring before August 1, 2017 will be paid the previous benefit amount and must be turned in within 1 year.

Please note, this fund is maintained by voluntary contributions made by our members and Local 47's various fundraising efforts. If you would like to contribute to the fund you may make a onetime contribution online by using the online dues payment form. You can enter a contribution amount in the Injured Workers Fund Contribution box, or check with your Union Representative to see if a re-occurring contribution is available from your employer through payroll deduction.
